MOE Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools (ESIS)
The MOE Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools (ESIS) are available to students of Independent Schools.
MOE Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools (ESIS Secondary 1)

Awarded to Singaporean students who are in the top one-third of the total number of Secondary One students admitted to all Independent Schools.

Award is based on their PSLE results (before bonus points).

Quantum of Award: $2,400 per year for 4 years. The scholarship money will not be paid out in cash/cheque but will be used to offset the student’s school fees on a monthly basis.

The scholar must have good conduct and make good progress each year in order to continue receiving the scholarship.

No application is required. Students who meet the eligibility criteria will be informed.
Students are awarded the ESIS for:

4 years, if they are in the O-Level programme, including those who are enrolled into the SST-NP Integrated Diploma Programme (IDP) in their upper secondary years.

6 years, if they are in the 6-year programme.
This is subject to their good progress and conduct each year.
MOE Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools (ESIS Secondary 3)

Awarded to Singaporean students at Secondary 3 if they have performed well in the ESIS Test and are not awarded a 4-year ESIS at Secondary 1.

Quantum of Award: $2,400 per year for 2 years. The scholarship money will not be paid out in cash/cheque but will be used to offset the student’s school fees on a monthly basis.

The scholar must have good conduct and make good progress each year in order to continue receiving the scholarship.

Nominated/Shortlisted students will be invited by the School to apply for the ESIS Test at the end of their Secondary 2 studies, in order to determine their suitability for the ESIS.
Students who performed well in the ESIS test are awarded for:

2 years, if they are in the O-Level programme or the SST-NP Integrated Diploma Programme (IDP).

4 years, if they are in the 6-year programme.
This is subject to their good progress and conduct each year.
MOE Edusave Scholarship for Independent Schools (ESIS Yearly Award)

Awarded to Singaporean students in Independent Schools who are not awarded any other type of ESIS.

Awarded to the top 10% of each cohort by level in each Independent School based on their overall school examination results for the year (last Academic Year for last year’s school fees).

Quantum of Award: $2,400 for one year.

No application is required. Students awarded the ESIS will be informed through the school by the beginning of the next academic year.
Note: For students awarded with the ESIS, and are also recipients of the Independent School Bursary (ISB), the ESIS award quantum is $2,400 per year, or the total annual school fees minus the school fees subsidy provided under ISB, whichever is lower.
SST-Ngee Ann Kongsi STEM Scholarship
The SST-Ngee Ann Kongsi STEM Scholarship is established to recognize outstanding students with a strong passion and talent in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
This scholarship aims to inspire recipients to further their STEM pursuits and achieve excellence in these fields.

Open to current Secondary 2, Secondary 3 and Secondary 4 students at SST.

Students currently receiving the MOE Edusave Scholarship for Independent Schools (ESIS) are not eligible.

The student must have demonstrated active participation and outstanding performance in STEM-related areas, including involvement in research programmes and notable achievements in competitions.

The student must have good conduct and consistently good academic performance.

Quantum of Award: $1,200 for one year.

The scholarship is valid for one academic year.

Recipients are selected at the end of Secondary 1, Secondary 2 and Secondary 3 respectively.

No application is required. Students who meet the eligibility criteria will be informed.
Other MOE Edusave Awards
Edusave Awards are given by the government annually to Singaporean students to enhance educational opportunities and motivate students to excel in schools in academic and non-academic domains.

Yearly awards @ SST
Students of SST may continue to qualify for yearly awards in the form of scholarships such as the SST Achievement Award (SSTAA). Yearly awards are subject to the student’s academic performance and conduct during their tenure at SST.
Other student awards awarded on an annual basis include book prizes, top student awards, etc.
